I didn’t appreciate this comeback nearly enough when it happened - I was 13 and wasn’t into this type of music then - but WOW - man was she incredible

Same, I definitely didn’t appreciate her as a kid. Then I got into the 60s/70s stuff but now I am really blown away by what she was able to do

A good choice for the first one. A epic life, well condensed into a 15-minute story. The legend of Tina has grown and grown in my mind since childhood memories of pop hits on the tinny radio and Auntie Entity in Thunderdome.

The documentary a few years back was very moving. I sat there, overwhelmed by more than half a century of someone’s personal history and achievements laid out in front of me on screen. Tina resolute and defiant through it all.

Also, her openness to growth best exemplified by the practice of buddhism, which gave her the confidence and clarity to walk out on a tyrant. To take another path and to “turn poison to medicine”.

It's inconceivable, even back in the early 80s, that someone would deny Tina's immense talent and star quality. But that shows us the power once wielded by record labels, how myopic execs could be and the way perceptions of genre straightjacket an artist. Their identity and evolution.

Great video! Didn't know much about Tina's career, but always thought she was an incredible singer...
