Anyone who has heard a Jethro Tull record knows that they're not a metal band- so how could the Grammys award them a prize in that category?
That was the problem, they combined hard rock and heavy metal into one category and Jethro Tull snuck in on the hard rock side
I suppose it was felt that they were due something- they didn't even get nominated before that time.
