The singer who gained more than he lost

Today’s story is about a song I remember hearing for the first time watching VH1 Classic back in the day. It may have even been a Pop Up Video, I can’t remember. But I definitely remember thinking - oh did this singer used to be cool?? I only knew him from his later hits, many of which I thought were pretty corny. But I loved this song, which led me into discovering his other early work - especially the stuff he did with his band - which is now some of my favorite music ever. It’s a good story about how often the things in our life we thought wouldn’t be important end up having the biggest impact. Enjoy!
