Rod is a professional songwriter who in his spare time makes hugely popular Tiktok videos on nostalgia for 90s and 00s music. His videos on everyone from Backstreet Boys to Green Day to Rihanna and Shakira have gotten millions of views and hundreds of thousands of followers.
On this episode Rod talks about growing up as the only Asian kid in small town Indiana hiding alternative CDs from his parents to becoming a member of the Recording Academy and working as a successful songwriter.
