Albums of 9/11 week wraps up with Bob Dylan’s 31st studio album - Love and Theft. An album full of apocalyptic imagery that took on haunting significance in the wake of September 11. It was also something of a history lesson in early 20th century American music styles, going from folk to blues to country to rockabilly to Western swing, played masterfully by maybe the tightest band Dylan ever played with. It was fitting that America’s greatest songwriter released an album on one of America’s darkest days and it’s the perfect album to end this series on.
