Today’s episode is about one of the great underdog stories. The Moldy Peaches self titled debut album released on September 11, 2001 is by far the smallest record in this series. It didn’t have a big marketing budget, it didn’t get any radio play, no videos on MTV, it didn’t sniff the Billboard charts. But what it did have was some passionate fans. (Myself included, I put so many of their songs on mixtapes for friends in 2001). And one of those fans led to the band’s music getting on a soundtrack that would become a phenomenon.
