All this week I am covering albums that were released on September 11, 2001. And fittingly, we start the series with a New Yorker. A New Yorker who became famous performing a New York art form - hip hop. On his 6th studio album The Blueprint, Jay-Z pays tribute to both his city and the music he loves. It would have been one of the greatest albums of all time no matter when it came out, but after the devastating events of 9/11 it became the album that much of America turned to for solace.
